Cowgirl Stew

Cook time: 2 hours                             Servings: 6

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds of stew meat (cut into ¾ squares)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cowgirl Stew Mix
  • 4-5 cups beef broth (can substitute water)
  • 3 medium potatoes (cut into 1 inch cubes)
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes (14.5 oz.)
  • 4 carrots (cut into 1 inch pieces)
  • 1 small green bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 cup of diced celery


Heat oil in large pot and add meat. Cook while stirring just until the meat loses its color. Sprinkle flour to your meat, add Cowgirl Stew Seasoning, and beef broth. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 2 hours total. After the first hour of simmering add potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, and celery to your meat. Simmer for an additional 30 minutes, or until vegetables are tender. You are now ready to enjoy Desi and Mailee’s Cowgirl Stew.

*All of the spices needed for stew are included in our Cowgirl Stew Seasoning. Additional seasoning can be added for more flavor.
